We are extremely pleased to report that Joni Owens has been released today from the hospital following her serious car accident this past weekend. Thanks to your many well-wishes, thoughts and prayers, she is now able to continue her recuperation in the comfort of her home.

We all understand that Joni will need time to heal and recover from her injuries. The Executive Committee of The Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce met last night and voted unanimously to offer Joni an extended medical leave of absence and she graciously accepted.

Joni will not be directly involved in any Chamber-related activities for an indefinite period of time during this medical leave. As we announced yesterday, Anne Wanamaker, VP of Operations, will assume day-to-day operational responsibilities for the Chamber. If you have any questions or need assistance on a project, please contact Anne directly at anne@forsythchamber.org or you may contact me.

Please keep Joni and her family in your prayers during her recuperation. She is very appreciative of all your cards, flowers and well-wishes. We encourage you to continue these notes of encouragement but feel free to direct them to her home address.

Regards _
